Day 1
Auckland - Bay of Island’s
Travel across the Auckland Harbour Bridge, north via the Hibiscus Coast to the beautiful Bay of Islands. Arrive in Paihia and the option of a visit to the historic Waitangi Treaty House (own cost) where New Zealand’s most important document of state was signed in 1840. In the afternoon, explore Paihia at your leisure.
The Bay of Islands is a stunningly beautiful length of sand and rock coastline that circles a sea pierced by 150 islands. Wherever you are in the Bay of Islands, it's impossible to escape the lure of the sea. Catch a ferry or charter boat and immerse yourself in the blue-green world of island and beach. Or paddle a sea kayak in and out of island nooks and crannies.

Day 2:

Cape Reinga Excursion (Included in tour cost)
Today you travel to the top on New Zealand via Ninety Mile beach. First stop is the Puketi Kauri Forest for a 20 minute boardwalk stroll amongst 1000-year old kauri trees. Pass by golden sand beaches at Whangaroa, Coopers Beach, Cable Bay and Taipa. Refreshments stop at Ancient Kauri Kingdom. The departing place for Maori spirits is Cape Reinga where the Tasman Sea and mighty Pacific Ocean crash together beneath the Cape Reinga Lighthouse. Walk out to the lighthouse and post a card home at New Zealand's most northern mailbox. Other highlights include the Te Paki Quicksand Stream (which we navigate by coach very carefully!), thrilling sand tobogganing on boogie boards down the giant Te Paki Sand Dunes and traveling by coach down the vast Ninety Mile Beach
Day 3:
Bay of Island’s - Auckland
Dolphin Encounter (Included in tour cost)
What a sensational day you'll have when you join us for a Day in the Bay! See these delightful, curious creatures race alongside and show off their aerobatic skill! Bottlenose and common dolphins are spectacular performers and they love human company. We also often see other marine life such as seals, orcas, whales and penguins. When we find dolphins, conditions permitting, put on a wetsuit and try boom netting - a great way to get close to these wonderful creatures even if you are not a confident swimmer.
If sea conditions are comfortable (at skippers' discretion) you can free-swim with them! If you prefer to stay on board and enjoy the water antics from above, you are welcome to do so. Beautiful Motukokako Island is further out. After a visit here we head for the famous Hole in the Rock. We skillfully navigate our way through and then glide into spectacular Grand Cathedral Cave
Enjoy approx. 1-hour stopover on a secluded island (skipper’s choice) to do whatever you please. i.e. Have your picnic lunch, go snorkeling, hiking or just relax and enjoy the scenery. On our cruise back to Paihia we pass remote islands with their golden sand beaches, secluded bays and native trees. On return to Paihia rejoin your tour coach for the return journey to Auckland.
